Bergi Bio Honey from Sulla
Bio Honey from Sulla with a delicate taste and smell; particularly suitable for children and athletes.
The plant
Sulla is a leguminous plant belonging to the Fabaceae family. It is widespread in the Madonie Mountains because it is an excellent forage plant, rich in proteins and therefore particularly nutritious for livestock. In agriculture, it is also used for soil regeneration. In fact, it allows nitrogen to be fixed in the soil. For this reason, it is inserted among the different cereal crops to fertilize the soil and improve its yield. Its flowers are particularly popular, which is why in many places it is also grown as an ornamental plant. They bloom between April and June, coloring with purple and creating particularly suggestive landscapes.
Appearance
Sulla honey has a very light color and tends to crystallize after about three or four months, usually with a pasty and soft crystallization.
Taste and aroma
It is a honey with a very delicate flavor, with vegetal notes or with fruity components. The smell is also not particularly significant: it is often described as a generic smell of honey with vegetal and straw notes.
Property
Sulla honey has a lower sweetening power than other honeys and has a very high concentration of fructose. It is also rich in iron, copper, zinc, magnesium and manganese, making it an excellent ally for athletes and sportsmen. There are also vitamins A, C and some of the B group. Honey from on brings numerous benefits to our body. It has a purifying and detoxifying effect, as well as being a precious source of easily assimilable energy. It is also recognized as having diuretic and laxative effects and it is recommended to apply it to pimples and acne. Finally, like all other types of honey, it is particularly suitable for counteracting sore throats and coughs.
